Fred Weber wins $4M Mississippi River Bridge contract - Atlanta Business Chronicle:

awarded Fred Weber a $4.4r4 million contract Wednesday to remove and replace the Madisonm Streetand St. Louis Avenue bridges over Interstate 70 indowntowjn St. Louis. The majority of work on this project will start afterHighway 40/Interstate 64 reopens between Kingshighwah and Interstate 170. Crewes will remove the St. Louis Avenue bridge firstt and then remove and replacse the MadisonStreet bridge. During work to removs the MadisonStreet bridge, crewsx will also remove the Cass Avenue bridgre in preparation for replacing that bridge latefr in 2010. This work is part of preliminargy work on a new Mississippi river which is expected to reducse congestion on the PoplafrStreet Bridge.
Maryland Heights, Mo.-basedx Fred Weber is one of the largesty privately held companiesin St. Louis with $353.3 million in revenus in 2008. The commercial construction firm is also working onthe $245 millio reconstruction of AmerenUE’s Taum Sauk Reservoit in Johnson’s Shut-Ins stat park and is part of Gateway Constructors, the consortiujm of contractors performing $535 millionh worth of improvements on Highwayy 40/Interstate 64.
