A communitg college in North Carolina also received The initiative seeks to supporft programs that help students enrolled in remedialprogramd — so-called refresher courses for students who are not up to grade level in a given subject. The goal is to improvw classroom performance so students can go on to take advancedr courses and eventually graduate with a degreeor certificate.
The state of Ohio was awarde d $300,000 over a three-yeaer period to develop a new performance-based funding syste that rewards community colleges for helping students complete remedialand college-level courses.
