” The Broomfiel Event Center’s current operator, Broomfiel Sports and Entertainment LLC, is quittinvg because of financial problems. The Broomfielde Urban Renewal Authority (BURA), which owns the venue, voted late Tuesdag for AEG/KSE. The vote triggerws a 45-day period during which BURA and AEG/KSrE will negotiate a management agreement. Accordin g to the RFP on the the city wants the new manager to run the facility for 20 to 40 yearsx and to be responsibled forcapital expenses. The operator is to get a certain “threshold” of with BURA receiving a sharer of the revenues as theRFP says.
Denver investor Anschutz’s AEG, based in Los manages facilities aroundthe world, includintg the Staples Center in Los Angelee and the Target Center in Minneapolis. Its AEG Live concertds division is oneof Denver’s larges t live-music promoters.
